exellent french pressing on the decca label of the original dwaps 2.009. this is n.o.s. with a snag (and a history): when i was busy in the africanmusic business in the late 70's and early 80's i bought a lot of stuff in mrs. oti's shop on bedford hill, london s.w.12. mrs oti was mainly selling dried fish, palm oil and pepers, but there was also the oti records label and many nigerian imports you could not find anywhere else in europe. that is where the record originated from and here is the reason it is still available as new old stock: some 28 years ago a customer sent it back claiming that there was some smelly "stuff" sticking to the record on track 3 of the a- side. well i put that record aside to return it eventually to mrs. oti. somehow it did not make it back to london and i just dicovered it in my collection as a double. after all that time i still could determine the "stuff" as a small piece of dried cod, soaked it and took it off. you can still see whre it was and at present there is some background noise on a-3. i assume that it will disappear when you play the record wet. so here is your chance for an exellent copy of blo phase IV!
