    In our early years of digging into the heritage of Bollywood we sometimes would wake up in the night, having dreamt of a record with ONLY instrumental TITLE themes, or only sexy NIGHTCLUB songs. In record shops we would hallicinate them, only to find out it was in fact only another Fausto Pappetti album. Until one day one of us bumped into: 'CABARET SONGS'.

    A dream record had materialized. As you probably know: Cabaret scenes are the Nightclub scenes in Hindi film where the villian watches a sexy girl performing a "naughty" song. Plenty sexy dresses, cigarettes, whiskey, fake moustaches & cigarette holders. And this LP is full with it! From A to Z sexy cabaret tunes. And also the best ones! On the album: the best songs from CARAVAN, INTAQAM, JEWEL THIEF, KATI PATANG, SHARMILEE: all top songs that shook us.

    The best news is that it contains a couple of cabaret song that are near to impossible to find on the original vinyl: "Aaj Ki Raat" a mesmerizingly beautiful song with a kind of Horror arrangement of the rare R.D. Burman score ANAMIKA, the 7" only jazzy cabaret of NIRMAAN and the super-7 only Asha/Burman duet of MADHOSH.

    Did you know that Bollywood records were not only pressed in India? Yes, MANY places actually, like: Pakistan, Thailand, Malaysia, Iran, Portugal, Holland, Israel and this one is from FRANCE.
