Ah, the Dead Milkmen. Those wacky kids from Philadelphia with the bad luck to come after domestic punk had hit the high water mark with Black flag, Fear, the Germs, and the Dead Kennedys, but before the resurrection by the Offspring and Green Day. Come to think of it, all those other punk bands were California based. Maybe the Milkmen's bad luck was to be from the city of brotherly love and not from the Golden State?
Here is their debut album, straight from 1985 featuring a fat godzilla wrecking someone's backyard: Big Lizard in my Backyard. Featuring songs like "Bitchin' Camaro" and "Takin' Retards to the Zoo." And it has the lyric insert that looks like cheap handwritten xerox copy. So punk!
This is the original Enigma release from 1985.
