This recording was stored badly and has suffered damage(see scan) Amazingly after the first quarter inch or so, it tracks all the way through and plays OK with a clunking sound and surface noise.
It is being sold as a collector piece, with the brass grommet and the very early use of His Master's Voice on the reverse.
A 1902 Canadian Berliner catalog states: "The new Maroon records have just been put on the market and are deservedly popular"
