jeff beck truth vinyl.
Epic Records BXN 26413, record is flat with no smudges or scratches. Side one first couple of tracks have small bursts of very audible surface noise and the rest of the side has some surface noise in the quieter passages. Side two has audible noise at the start of the first track then the rest of side two is surface noise free, record grades a G+.
The jacket has age appropriate wring wear and next to no edge wear, grades a VG. The sleeve is a standard paper sleeve and grades a VG as well.
Allmusic grades Truth 5 stars and in my mind is Jeff’s most impactful record. Ron Wood plays bass, Rod Stewart handles vocals and both Nicky Hopkins and John Paul Jones make appearances.
The sound quality is superb with great stereo separation.
Not a bad song on the record with only I Ain’t Superstitious making it to regular classic rock radio and there’s plenty more worth hearing on an all round killer disc.
