Description
Rare UK First pressing on Track Records with the blue sleeve text. Track records 613008/613009 with corrected matrix numbers and A1 B1 C1 D1
The LPs have side A and D labels on the first LP and Side B and C labels on the second LP
Firstly this classic 1st pressing is not in fantastic condition. The description I am giving below is an honest warts and all description and includes me listening to the LPs from start to finish.
The original gatefold nude cover is in good condition considering it is 48 years old. The cover has some light creasing and some ringwear the spine while not split has started to lift in two sections top and middle.the cover us fully laminated and was made by EJ Day and Co. All of this is clearly visible in the photographs which are of the actual cover.
It very obviously has the blue label text for the track listing and is therefore clearly the much sought after first pressing.
The LPs visually would rank in good condition with a number of light superficial marks.
The labels on sides C and D are slightly damaged there are also spindle marks. The LP with sides B and C is slightly warped which is more noticeable on side C.
Sound quality - I have listened to all four sides and would judge the sound quality as close to very good. All four sides play without any jumps, skips etc. There is surface noise here and there and a number of minor pops across the four sides but overall this is still a very listenable copy of this rare first press.
