Jodo were a brief but blistering British hard-rock outfit from the early �70s, linked to Deep Purple, Green Bullfrog, Jasper, and Killing Floor. With Rod Alexander�s standout guitar work and two lead vocalists�Bill Kimber (white) and Earl Jordan (black)�they fused heavy rock, blues, and proto-metal into a muscular, gritty sound.

Their only, self-titled LP arrived in 1971, produced in London by Derek Lawrence (Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash) and engineered by Martin Birch (Black Sabbath, Blue �yster Cult). Oddly, it never came out in the UK�only in the US and New Zealand�and it sported enigmatic packaging: a cover depicting a man with a bicycle, with no band photos or identifying details.

For some strange reason, the album never saw a UK release, being available only in the US and New Zealand and housed in a cryptic packaging � the cover shows a man with a bicycle, without band photos or band details.
