Description
The Tower Recordings "The Futuristic Folk of The Tower Recordings Volume One and Volume Two" Time-Lag Records 016/017, no date (2004 I think). Two lps EX; heavy, silkscreened, gatefold Stoughton jacket EX (like new!). *** Superb and massive double lp from MV, EE, PG Six, Joshua, Samara, Barnes and the rest of the scraggly TR troupe! Beautifully presented on Time-Lag, who seem to out-do themselves with every release. Totally lovely silkscreened gatefold, the ink is so thick as to be almost 'velvety'! Heavy discs, 180-gram is my guess. And, of course, the music is easily some of the finest brain-float to emerge from the addled Children of Microtones. Limited to 400, sold out immediately upon release, as is the Time-Lag way. Brilliant stuff, totally covetable document, just a very special piece of contemporary folk mystery-awe! References: Six Organs of Admittance, Charalambides, John Fahey, Robbie Basho, Simon Finn, Gary Higgins, Linda Perhacs, Karen Dalton, Jack Rose, Taurpis Tula, Fursaxa, Sun City Girls, Sunburned Hand of the Man, NNCK, Dead C, Quakebasket, Pavilion, Siltbreeze, Eclipse, Majora, De Stijl, SIWA, Sound@One, Wholly Other, Volcanic Tongue, Fusetron, Forced Exposure. *** Please see my other auctions, too, as I will always have exciting stuff related to these areas of musical interest: avant garde, free jazz, post punk, Fluxus, experimental, improvisation, folk blues, ethnic international. *** Paypal strongly preferred. Money orders are fine. Cash is not advised and is sent at your own risk. Personal checks not accepted. Priority postage within USA: $5.00 for one single album; double album or two separate lps $7.00; Media mail costs less, but takes a bit longer. International winner will pay actual postage/packaging, to be calculated after auction's close. Payment to be received within ten days of auction's close. THANKS.
