"RVG" is etched, not stamped, indicating an earlier pressing. Engineered by Rudy Van Gelder. W. 50th St. address on cover & label. Pretty laminated cover w/ orig. price tag on back ($3.50!). (Tag peels off fine). Jackie McLean, Art Blakey, Tommy Potter & Walter Bishop. The two side-closers, "Denial" & "Out Of The Blue" feature great ensemble bleating by Jackie & Sonny in unison below Miles. (Matrix #: "RVG B PRLP-7012-A-1 AB").
DISC E-
Play-graded on a high-quality Stanton turntable w/ average cartridge. Some scuffs & scratchlets yielding a tolerable amount of surface noise. The noise is present but did not much detract from my listening enjoyment. On-center, unwarped disc w/ no up-and-down or back-and-forth tonearm motion. Has been safely stored upright in a smoke-free, climate-controlled environment.
COVER E-
Free of seam splits, ring wear, front stains, writing, color fading, c/o marks or water damage. Little bit of lamination flaking & 1/8 inch corner deterioration. Fine label. Sharp-cut hole w/ faint transparent spindle brushings.
To save you money, we combine multiple purchases. Securely packed in protective plastic polybag (disc outside of jacket) & extra padding.
