Description

You are bidding on an extremely rare and highly collectable Jazz LP by cult UK artist NEIL ARDLEY with the NEW JAZZ ORCHESTRA entitled "LE DEJEUNER SUR L'HERBE". The LP was the second to be released by NEIL ARDLEY with the NEW JAZZ ORCHESTRA in the UK. The album is on the VERVE label with the code SVLP9236 and is dated 1969. The personnel on the LP include IAN CARR( trumpet and flugelhorn), DICK HECKSTALL-SMITH( tenor saxophone), MICHAEL GIBBS( trombone), FRANK RICOTTI( vibraphone, marimba) and JACK BRUCE( bass). There is also a great track written by MICHAEL GARRICK entitled "DUSK FIRE". This is a legendary and important UK Jazz LP that is soooo! hard to find.

CONDITION..........COVER    EX      A few tiny creases, light ringwear on the back and tiny bit of writing on back also. Otherwise very nice with lovely clean and unpeeled laminate. No tears and nice, fully readable spine.

CONDITION..........LABELS    Both labels are perfect with no writing, discolouration or tears. Excellent spindle hole.

CONDITION..........VINYL    EX/EX+     Lovely, bright, new look sheen. Only played a few times. Plays fantastic!!
