This is a brilliant recording with Jascha Heifetz at the height of his mastership. He offers a modern version of this work with dynamic inspiration, fire and the joy of playing this most complicated work of the violin solo literature. He truly is working out the dancing structure of the partitas and sonatas. The sound of his violin is very sonore, full of timbre, always rounded, never sharp.
The mono sound is exquisite, sometimes a little noise by the recording range.
