ABC Records PROBE CPLP-4500 M-/M- US original album with famous "Moving Parts" cover. The masterpiece debut album from the British band, Soft Machine!!! Many consider this to be one of the all-time great psychedelic albums ever. I AGREE!!!! Beginning in 1966 and establishing themselves by playing the London underground club scene, they developed a truely unique psych/pop sound. Shortly therafter they became a trio after guitarist Daevid Allen left, but Kevin Ayers, Robert Wyatt, and Mike Ratledge continued on, and recorded this series of short pop songs in a span of 4 days. These recordings were to be this 1st album and become a classic LP. Compared to early Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett, the Soft Machine were to change members and styles often throughout their days, but this debut is THE ONE!!!! The gatefold cover has a bit of very slight corner wear, the moving parts are clean and smooth. The vinyl is NEAR MINT!!! A beauty!!!! Check my other RARE albums on eBay this week. As always, all records are from my OWN personal collection!!!***PLEASE NOTE*** I clean all my records with a NITTY GRITTY Professional Record cleaning machine if necessary. I pack records carefully. Records are placed outside of the album cover in a record sleeve.
