Description

This is the very rare original British pressing of  "pussy plays" as issued on the morgan blue town label in 1969. Matrix numbers BT-5002A-IG and BT-5002B-IG. This is one of the rarest english psychedelic records.

Please note this is not a reissue. The record, inner sleeve and cover are all original.

The front cover has ringwear and the edges and spine are worn ( the writing along the spine is still legible). Please see the photos.

The side one record label has a noticeably worn area. I think this has been caused by an attempt to remove a sticker. The side two label is in good condition. see photos.

There are hairline type light surface marks on both sides of the record. These are mainly visible under strong light. I have played the record using my Linn turntable/troika cartridge and I have

not heard any skips or jumps. There is very little surface noise - the sound quality is excellent - detailed and dynamic.

In conclusion, using the "record collector" grading system as a guide, and taking the wear to the label and cover into consideration, I am going to grade the record overall as "very good".

"RECORD COLLECTOR" grading system :

VERY GOOD :  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal

wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
