Description
Radiohead The Bends 1995. Later UK first pressing WITH the large pixelated 0% in the lower left corner of the black and white side of the inner sleeve. The 0% also appeared on the later 2 matrix re-press showing that 1 matrix copies ( which this is) with the 0% on the inner sleeve are slightly later than the ones without.
So, to be clear, this is a first press, but is a later press or a later release than the original. They could all be first press records, but later press inners. This version isn’t a 2nd press. There is also an unproven theory that the very 1st issues were limited to a certain part of the UK but this version another. Also I bought this in 1995 in Chesterfield, but I can’t remember when. I remember it was close to release though.
Glossy cover and inner sleeve.
This version has a red pound symbol in the black circle on the labels on the left between TRADE and MARK.
The matrix numbers on this version end in -1
Matrix numbers are stamped except the text in capital letters which are etched.
Includes printed inner sleeve with artwork, credits and lyrics.

As stated I bought this in 1995 very soon after release. From my own private collection. The cover is in reasonable condition. Whilst it’s not perfect there is a considerable crease across the front left and rear right. It is more noticeable across the red colour of the rear. There are noticeable wear marks in the corners and across the top. There are no tears though or ringwear.
The inner is in similar condition. The crease from the cover is noticeable but is disguised on the blue artwork side and more noticeable on the black and white. There is a slight tear to the right of the inner where the record has sat and worn it away. It’s not noticeable unless you put the record in the sleeve but it’s still there.
The record itself is in good condition and does have some scratches on both sides, but it doesn’t affect playback. Overall the cover, inner and record show signs of use and its 28 years but it’s by no means battered. I use my own grading system because there are too many about and one man’s excellent is different to another’s. I’ve been as honest as I can and have provided the best quality photos that I can at home. I can try and provide better ones should anyone request them.
Record has been play tested on my own Project record player. Record will be cleaned for the new owner.
There will be a sensible reserve to reflect the value which I’m aware of. I’m in no hurry to sell so only sensible offers please. I use Discogs and others for information.
Postage will be by Royal Mail Special Delivery only, no exceptions. This is to cover the value of the record and me as well as the buyer. I only charge the Post Office price I don’t charge extra for packaging.
