Description
In the 1980's Tower Records Imports (or TRIP as they were also known) brought in tons of imported vinyl that was available in their stores in the USA.
Here's a 1984 Limited and Numbered Picture-Disc vinyl issue of David Bowie's LP Aladdin Sane (RCA – BOPIC 1 ), still in the special outer plastic sleeve, still sealed by their yellow transluscent tamper-proof sticker. It has never been opened or played! Still with the original Tower Records store identification tag (Store #183=Beaverton, Oregon location)
Please Note: The bottom left-hand corner of this one has a drill hole, because when Tower Records was sued by the U.S. Major-label companies over "parallel products" and won, forcing Tower to stop bringing in imported music if it was licensed to a US company (even if they were buying it from the international branches of the very same companies that brought the lawsuit) and they had to liquidate their back-stock by a certain date. So they made in-house "cut-outs" of many LPs like this. Also Please Note: There's some mild shop wear to the die-cut sleeve. Actual item in the photos provided
