I regret it's NOT the Vulcan record that everyone wants but it's still a nice bit of Birmingham music history in its own right. HE WILL LEAD HIS CHILDREN HOME, written by Robert R. Christian backed with WHEN I GOT SAVED, written by Vep Ellis. 10" 78rpm record, issued by Vulcan Record Co., 210 S. 74th Street, Birmingham 8, Alabama. In a somewhat contemporaneous but NOT original paper sleeve. Both sides play and sound really well though the first 10-15 grooves of each side show some rubbing and while those few grooves are playing, there is a bit more surface noise. This may be a tad more noticeable on the HE WILL LEAD side. Using the "Spin Connection" grading system for 78s this would EASILY be E- NOTE: some of my scans may have what appear to be scratches and/or pencil scribbles but in actuality those are scratches on the glass bed of my scanner. Please see the scan of the plain green sheet of paper in order to identify them (though they may appear in the scans pointed or oriented differently than they are on the green paper). _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ (the fine print ... [sigh] ... but please read :-)
