Description
What I’m offering is a white label promo copy (WLP) of the debut Carpenters album with the promptly withdrawn cover titled Offering, issued on A&M Records SP-4205 in 1969. This is an ORIGINAL pressing and NOT a reissue of any kind. This LP was later reissued titled Ticket To Ride with a completely different front cover.
The grading on the LP is VG cover, VG record side one, VG+ record side two.
The cover, which has a Promotional Copy Not For Sale sticker on the back, has a 1 ½ inch taped top seam at the mouth, dings/ creases in the corners, ¼ inch seam split on the bottom seam at the mouth, and light surface wear.
The record, which comes in its original A&M inner sleeve, has a few scratches/ surface marks, mainly on side one, that click and pop periodically. There is a sticker stain on the side two label.
I would consider this copy acceptable to most collectors, far from a trashed copy or a beater copy.
See scans for song listing.
Be sure to check out the other LPs, including SEALED LPs, that I am currently selling on Ebay. I always adjust shipping costs on multiple wins.
Email me if you have any questions. I have been selling records since 1989 so you can rest assured that my grading is thorough and accurate. So bid with confidence.
The item will be mailed out in a custom LP mailer to prevent damage during shipping.
