Description
Scarce original gold label MONAURAL release on LP of the debut album from The Grateful Dead, issued by Warner Bros. (W 1689). Complete with original inner sleeve. LP is in excellent VG+ condition and has been cleaned by a top VPI machine – sounds terrific. Cover is VG with a bit of writing in the extreme upper right front corner, and two notations of band members written on the back. One of the notes refers to the Dead’s drummer as “Bill Sommers”, which places this LP directly in San Francisco at the time of release, as Mr. Kreutzman was referred to as Bill Sommers for only a brief time while gigging in California. All such curiosity aside, this original and complete mono release will surely please its next owner.
