CEREMONY: Buddha Meet Rock/People [Shadoks vinyl reissue of the Japanese label Teichiku, 1971]
This is the EXTREMELY LIMITED VINYL pressing on Shadoks which was released around 2003. HAND-NUMBERED discreetly inside near the sleeve opening: #277 of 450 copies. This was sold out upon release and is impossible to find.
The original is one of the world's rarest records ($5000-$6000) and certainly one of the strangest—and best—psychedelic albums ever. In essence it sounds like a buddhist ceremony with finger cymbals and chants, joined with insanely awesome psych-fuzz guitar by the great Kimio Mizutani, slide guitar, and sitar throughout the ceremony, culminating with female orgasmo moaning near the end. Truly amazing!
Cover is MINT, still in shrink (but note it has been opened). It's heavy stock and looks perfect!
THE VINYL is in MINT, unplayed condition! Heavy pressing! Includes the rare fold-out INSERT!
