Description
Vinyl 7" single:
WILLIE MAE "BIG MAMA" THORNTON "Hound Dog" b/w "Night Mare" (Peacock ACA 2258) original US 1953 pressing (purple/silver label)
CURRENTLY IN MASSIVE DEMAND! Huge club track at all mod, rock'n'roll, soul and R'n'B nights - the first issue, getting really hard to find... original and far superior cut to the Elvis Presley classic.
Check my other auctions for other funk, soul and soundtrack rarities!
CONDITION : VG (Sleeve/Record)
DESCRIPTION : Record has plenty of surface scuffing - much of the original surface gloss is worn. However, there's no real scratches, and the track plays with just a bit of background hiss (which is basically the same as my own near mint copy) - most of these early 45s just weren't the best pressings in the world. The track is still cut good and loud and sounds GREAT - perfect for DJing. Flip-side is a bit more crackly - but again, no scratches. Labels in nice shape.
KEYWORDS : ELVIS PRESLEY, Mousetrap, New Untouchables, Sun Records, blues, etc.
PAYMENT : Buyer pays in UK pounds, cheque (in the UK), IMO or Paypal.
POSTAGE : 12"s/LPs : £2.80 (UK), £4.50 (Europe) and £7.00 (Rest of World) / 7”s/CDs : £1.50 (UK), £2.50 (Europe) and £3.50 (Rest of World). Double vinyl counts as two etc. Each additional record charged at half price.
SMALL PRINT : I am first and foremost a collector, and grade strictly as I wish everyone would. Records will be well-packed between cardboard, and sent in record mailers. In the interests of the environment, these will be recycled whenever possible. Albums will be removed from outer sleeve to avoid seam splits in transit. All records are sent with a certificate of posting, if you wish additional insurance please ask – I cannot be held responsible for missing parcels.
Good luck and check my other auctions for a selection of soul, funk, jazz, progressive, hip-hop, beats, breaks, samples and other odd-ball gear...
