Description
the POLICE - MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE, US PICTURE DISC, MINT RARE shaped disc in wallet 1980 US ONLY press, UNPLAYED Up for sale here:
The Police - Message in a Bottle, 1980 US Picture Disc exclusive pressing. Fantastic rarity for Police collectors, one of two up for sale this week (see below for details). This police badge shaped picture disc comes housed in a gatefold wallet with a great 12" photo of the band inside the cover. I've tried to photograph this in all its glory for you to see. The flip side of this single contains a previously unreleased live version of 'Message in a Bottle', although the sleeve does not state where this was recorded.
Please check my other listings for more hard to find LP's and singles, including these gems: Peter Touch(Tosh) on UK Coxsone, Beverley Simmons LP on UK Pama, Black Sabbath on Vertigo, rare USA only Police Picture Discs, System (super rare Heavy Prog) with more coming soon.
Catalogue no. PR 4400 on A&M records, 1980 US 1st Press.
Condition: The disc grades as MINT & UNPLAYED. Part of a picture disc collection I obtained which has only ever been used for display purposes and never played. The heavy card wallet is EXCELLENT, with some light creasing and scuffs to the edges. NO writing, stickers or other marks.
