the beatles 'please please me' very rare 2nd pressing for sale.mono.gold writing,some say the holy grail of beatle records?i've done a bit of research on 'the beatles collection' website,apparently these copies are rarer than the first pressings.the condition;the sleeve unfortunately has been taped up predominantly on the back cover (see pic).this has been done donkeys years ago,before i was even born.the front of the sleeve is perfectly passable,well thumbed on the opening side,the spine is a little chipped here and there.take it as read that the cover is by 'e.j.day & co.' although due to the offending taping up this is obscured.the inner is fine,the vinyl itself is in pretty good condition.surface marks obviously but nothing deep or serious.i've not played the vinyl for some time but i remember it being pretty good.matrix no. XEX 421-1N (side 1),XEX 422-1N (side 2).
any questions (and i'm sure they'll be a few)feel free to ask but DO NOT leave it until the last minute as chances are i will not be on line.this as far as i can see is the genuine article,and if it was a mint copy we all know how much it would be worth,i'm starting the bidding at what i feel is an affordable price for a bit of beatle memorabilia such as this.thanks for looking.(postage can be sorted out between the buyer and myself).
