PAUL McCARTNEY – OFF THE GROUND UK 1ST PRESS MASTER DISC

1993 UK LP on MPL RECORDS

This is a stunning, Near Mint record that has amazing minimal signs of use, it is quite probable that this album has only ever been played once or twice if that! The whole surface of the disc has a lovely clean shiny appearance, displaying a pure deep gloss that can only be achieved on barely handled records. A close inspection under strong light reveals nothing other than one or two of the faintest paper scuffs. The labels are clean and the spindle area has virtually no wear whatsoever, there are absolutely no traces that this record has ever been played. The high definition

crystal clear sound that only comes from brand new records.

COVER TYPE

Glossy gatefold sleeve with one side opening and card inner sleeve which are both in perfect mint condition

This is a fantastically well looked after, heavy duty sleeve it has to be given a grade of Near Mint. The sleeve displays no un-splitting and remains fully intact. The artwork still looks sensational and has not been defaced with any writing or sticker removal, this is an exceptionally well cared for sleeve. The edges are all un-scuffed and the spine has remained in perfect mint condition,

Off the Ground is a Paul McCartney album released in 1993. As his first studio album of the 1990's, it is also the follow-up to the acclaimed Flowers in the Dirt from 1989, and bears many similarities with its predecessor.

When the sessions for the album began in the fall of 1991, McCartney decided to use his current touring band as session musicians - most of whom had already appeared on Flowers In The Dirt. In addition, his collaboration with Elvis Costello was rekindled with both "Mistress And Maid" and "The Lovers That Never Were" emerging from their songwriting sessions and reserved for this album. Unlike Flowers In The Dirt, however, Costello would not appear on Off the Ground.
