Description
This LP is a fantastically rare UK 1963 export [to U.S] pressing. Produced by joe meek.
By the UK instrumental group the tornados it is titled "the sounds of the tornadoes". It is an original 1963 press. It is a UK export copy to the USA.
It is on the red/silver London label with "made in england" on both labels. Catalogue number is LL3293.
Is is not listed in the UK record collector price guide but is listed for megabucks in the U.S goldmine price guide. It was produced by joe meek and includes 4 tracks written by him. The group was heinz , clem cattini, george bellamy, roger la vern, alan caddy.
The track list is:
1. telstar
2. ridin the wind
3. red roses and a sky of blue
4. chasing moonbeams
5. earthy
6. swinging beefeater
7. globetrottin
8. theme from a summer place
9. love and fury
10. dreamin on a cloud
11. the breeze and i
12. popeye twist
The disc is very shiny and sonically plays great all the way through with no skips. On one side a track has a small group of light scratches but they hardly sound [if at all as i cannot hear anything], and on the same side is a long superficial light scratch which once again if at all hardly sounds, i cannot hear anything. There is just a few pops in between some tracks because of this, but honestly you would not know they were there from listening to the album, except of course as mentioned before some occasional in between track pop here and there.
The cover has no splits, creases or writing on it. On the front it has spotting from shelfwear. On the back is a very small price sticker tear top right.
