Transcription Jackie Robinson early '60s radio transcription of an Armed Forces Radio show ALL AMERICA WANTS TO KNOW "Job opportunities for the Negro" ?
VINYL: VG++ (EX) SLEEVE: plain generic white
Side one is titled "Job opportunities for the Negro". Besides Jackie R. a number of employers "Leaders of American Industry" & black "negro" workers are interviewed Jackie Robinson has 3 segments. The one I've posted below & 2 more. The other 2 are about one and a half minutes each.
Below is a recording I put on youtube of the last of Jackie Robinson's 3 segments. I recorded it at a little bit faster speed so the voices seem a touch higher.
2:10 Jackie Robinson From early '60s radio transcription HD 14 Apr 2016 19:28
Side two is also pretty cool. It is a preview of the 1964 New York Worlds fair. Among others it interviews Robert Moses and plays an interesting segment predicting the future. Which of course is now.
Both show run 25 minutes.
I searched the internet and couldn't find another copy of this anywhere.
