Comments: Beautiful gatefold cover is vg due to two strange inch long tears to the back cover only (see pic; these tears are invisible from the front and invisible while looking at the interior artwork of the gatefold); vinyl is ex.
Side A of this LP is a 25 minute long documentation of a Sri Lankan phallic cult ritual entitled "Rituel Civa Linga au Kovil de Kegallla". Evidently a spontaneous recording that resulted from the musicologist's car breaking down in front of the temple at the absolute perfect time, there is little in the discography of any world music label to match its beautiful bewildering intensity. By comparison, side B isn't much to speak of at all. So I won't bother. But Side A, my friends, will not let you down. I promise you that!
