Description
Wonderful little collection by the great jazz pianist and composer, Mary Lou Williams. She started played at the Cafe Society in Greenwich Village, NYC's first integrated jazz club; and this 3 disc 78 RPM record set (with cover art by David Stone Martin) comes with two photographs (one pasted in) and a marvelous signed typed letter to a female lieutenant stationed at the 348th Station Hospital (then in Germany) thanking her for writing when she has so much else to do.
The records have a bit of wear, the jacket is torn at the upper spine - but it is a unique and wonderful item highlighting why this important jazz musician was loved respected and loved during her lifetime.
International shipping will be expensive due to weight and size and need to pack securely.
