Description
Straight from the collection of Bruce Lair drummer for The Elite. Please check out my other auctions for more of The Elite memorabilia and records. Very rare 1966 Texas Garage Rock 45 by The Elite, one of Fort Worth's great garage bands. My Confusion/I'll Come To You on Charay Records . Record is flat and is in vg/vg- condition. My Confusion side is Vg showing quite a bit of wear but plays through nicely and sounds good. I'll Come to You side is vg- with some pops and background noise. the Label has some paper loss and is signed by all four original members of the band. I read some of Bruce's correspondence with other members of the band in the early 2000's and they could not believe what their record was selling for. i don't think any of the members had any copies left and my guess is Bruce found this copy later. This record rarely comes up for auction. A fine addition to your collection. 5.00 secure boxed shipping. Thanks Mike
The Elite
“My Confusion”
single B-side (1966)
Reportedly one of the rowdiest bands on the Dallas-Fort Worth scene, The Elite released just three singles between 1966-67. The best of these, “My Confusion” is a thoroughly Stones-y affair, with relentless momentum and attitude for days. The track would achieve an immortality of sorts when it was tapped as the opening selection to the inaugural volume of the Back From the Grave compilation series.
