Nice copy of rare Brit Jazz classic, Columbia 33SX 1733, Rendell and Carr's groundbreaking Shades of Blue from 1965.  This copy was once owned by the group's drummer Trevor Tomkins and given to a friend.  I bought it from this friend's daughter.  The record has some light in-and-out of the original crispy innerbag surface wear, and in that condition I would happily grade it as EX.  HOWEVER, there is a pressing fault known in the business as groove-stitching on side 2 track 3 which causes a sssssss   ssssssss sound for two half-revolutions.  And that is it.  The sound is less intrusive using a mono cartridge.  Anyway, because of this I can only grade the record as VG.   This is the only sonic blemish on an otherwise fine copy. The original crispy inner bag EX, half laminated G&L flipback jacket is EX with Tomkins name and date top left and an annotation in the track listing.  Despite the pressing fault it remains a respectable copy with good provenance and is priced accordingly.  Of course if perfect it would command twice the price.

Regular clients will know that I keep my descriptions brief and to the point.  If you are looking, I figure you will know what you are looking at.  I would not presume to condescend nor would I wish to bore you to death with unnecessary hyperbole and hogwash.  Used records play-checked on EMT 930/929/TSD15/TMD25 and cleaned when necessary on a Loricraft Pro II.

GRADINGS:

MINT (M): Brand new and unplayed. Perfect, no indications of being handled or played. I only use this grading if I know for sure the record has not been played.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record is virtually flawless, clean and shiny.  Very minor, barely visible innerbag wear may be permitted, but no scratches. The disc should play with no audible noise. Jacket is as close to perfect.

EXCELLENT (EX): Record plays near perfectly, but may have paper scuffs that do not interfere with the sound quality. There can possibly be a non-sounding mark or two but nothing that affects play. Record is clean and shiny.  Any issues with the jacket will be minor and described.

Recorded Delivery world-wide shipping for security and peace of mind. Discounted postage for multiple purchases.  Shipping is always at cost, including packing materials.

For one single LP: 25 US Dollars for the USA, the Far East and Australia, 18 US Dollars for Europe, 9 US Dollars for the UK.

I’m in the UK, so I obviously won’t be using USPS.  Shipping will be calculated for each buyer and included in my invoice.  There is NO flat rate.

I ensure that my records arrive with you in the same lovely condition they leave me, carefully packed in secure professional wraps with sheet polystyrene and cardboard packing.  Shipping costs reflect packaging.  I do not use bits of old cardboard box or those cheap flimsy envelope style mailers. Records are always packed out of their jackets

I don’t like to say this, but if you cannot pay, please do not bid.
