Description
Just to make it clear, I play all my records from beginning to end prior to auction on my Garrard 401 record player using a Shure V15 cartridge.
Here I have a small joblot of 4 foreign released Beatles lp's. 1. The Beatles - Beatles for Sale
This early 70's Australian copy of The Beatles - Beatles for Sale. The record is in STEREO with orange Parlophone labels. Cat no. PCSO 3062
Grading :
The cover is in EXCELLENT condition. Very clean and not much sign of use with readable spine. The artwork is fantastic and completely different to the UK edition.
The record is also in EXCELLENT condition with no marks, plays brightly with little sign of use.
2. The Beatles - White Album
This is an early Pathe Marconi French copy of The Beatles - White Album. The record is in STEREO with the Apple labels. Cat no SMO2051
Grading :
The top loading numbered ( 586693 ) gatefold cover is in EXCELLENT condition. Still very white and inside very clean with the inner flipbacks.
The records are let down by side 3 which is badly marked and in POOR condition the other 3 sides have very little problems and grade VG+ .
3. The Beatles - Abbey Road
This is an early Italian copy of The Beatles - Abbey Road. The record is in STEREO with the Apple labels. Cat no 3C 062-04243
Grading :
The sleeve is graded as VG, suffering from some ringwear to the front and minor wear around the extremities. The spine text is readable. The record plays EX with no skips or jumps and just the occasional pop or click and very little in the way of surface sounds.
4. The Beatles - Revolver.
This is a 1969 pressed USA copy of The Beatles - Revolver. The record is in STEREO with the lime green Capitol labels which had a print run of 1 year Cat no ST2576
Grading :
The heavy carded cover is in POOR condition with a paper tear on the rear along the opening edge a clean rip 3/4's of the way down the front and various other scrapes. The top and bottom seams have come away due to the tape probably drying up. On the plus side the front cover is okay and the song titles are not affected on the rear.
The record is in VG+. The record plays very bright and loud with just the very occasional pop and click
Overall nice little lot, please see photo's.
