Description
This is a very rare 7 Lp set from the collection of a violinist, it has 7 thick, heavy, deep groove U.S. lps on maroon and silver RCA VICTOR Long Play labels #LM-6900, features 9 BEETHOVEN SYMPHONIES by THE NBC SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA conducted by ARTURO TOSCANINI, it is a limited edition set which this is numbered "615", comes in a beautiful heavy brown vinyl with gold print binder, it has 7 very thick sleeves , and a nice extensive booklet with notes, photos, etc. The inside is spotless, sleeves have No splits, folds, stains, etc. Booklet near pristine, No folds, writing, fading, stains, etc. front and back are spotless clean and strong, the outside has thick bold gold print on front and spine. seams and spine are strong. back also pristine, on front and partially inside the binder is a heavy bronze medallion on the reverse side is Toscanini's signature. this medallion is by LEONARDO BISTOLFI, see close up pics for more info. Each lp has nice clean labels, most have a few light spindle trails, No stains, fading, stickers, writing, etc. playing surfaces have a deep mirror gloss shine, No groove wear, defects, warps, cracks, chips, etc. when I closely inspected all 14 sides I noticed a handful of light scuffs on each side, and only 2 sides have a small scratch you can feel, I listened to excerpts from these 2, they sounded clean and clear with No distortion, skips, or annoying background noise. These heavy durable deep groove original pressings sound wonderful even without cleaning it on a vpi, which I strongly recommend. CONDITION: BINDER with sleeves & booklet NM / 7 LPS VG+ to VG++ .
