Description
ARTIST: Clarence Williams Jazz Kings (as Memphis Hot Shots)
LABEL: Harmony 1368
TITLES: Shout, Sister, Shout / Baby Won't You Please Come Home
CONDITION: E
DESCRIPTION: Top notch February 1931 Clarence Williams Columbia session using the larger Bingie Madison band than his typical Jazz Kings releases. This would be Clarence's last session for almost 2 1/2 years due to the Great Depression. The "Shout Sister Shout" side was only released on Columbia's dime store labels. A-1 pressings both sides on this rare jazz disc. A 1" patch of scratches on "Baby..." that produces some crackle. From the Ken Swerilas collection.
