DESCRIPTION: Glossy copy of scarce Walter Davis buff Bluebird from early 1935. Away from recording for over a year, Davis returned to the studio backing himself on piano instead of relying on Roosevelt Sykes. A different sound emerged, and these first Bluebird sessions with Davis on piano and Henry Townsend on guitar are some of his best and rarest Bluebirds. "Minute Man" has the additional plus of Big Joe Williams added on second guitar. From the Don Kent collection.
