Description
*************************************** 1950s aluminium lacquer acetate 78 ''Not For Sale'' typed on plain white labels. (The Janis Martin side was never issued as a single in the U.K. This record was dubbed direct from discs about 1958 for demonstration purposes. [You can hear the needle drop onto the original record.] As a lacquer acetate, cut and not pressed, it may well be unique. The Eddie Layton side was issued on a Mercury 78.) Please see photos - and more white labels in my Other Items. Condition : Good. A lot of inaudible surface marks and apparently some light mildew but no blistering. The mildew has mostly wiped off. Labels show much ageing but are still readable. PLEASE NOTE - lacquer acetates have soft surfaces which wear easily after only a few plays. My advice is to play once only and make a recording. Will be well packaged for full protection in transit. [I know that the disc itself is unbreakable but I will treat as shellac for posting because any amount of bending could crack the surfaces!] * * * Ebay 78 sellers please take note - I have so far received ten 78s in pieces. * * * I have much experience with posting 78s so you may buy with confidence. (I do not depend on bubblewrap! - Sandwiched within scrap L.P.s and PLENTY of corrugated cardboard crossways makes unbreakable packaging.) Starting price includes postage. (Price may be lowered if no sale.)
Discount on multiple purchases over £10 will be 10% so please await invoice from me.
(And don't pay individually for items or the discount has to be reduced.)
(Please see my other items.)
Payment by PayPal preferred but not in the case of local collection. ( DON'T MISS MY "OLD 78s SHOW" EVERY WEEK ON LISKEARD RADIO ONLINE! )
