Originally released on the Tiger label in Jamaica as 'Shortwave' / 'Superior'
Why is this record important? The rhythm is the original to the Lee Perry 1969 production of 'Ease Up' by The Bleechers but this was remixed in 1969/1970 by the engineer - possibly Lynford Anderson (Andy Capp) - at Dynamic Sound to make this ground-breaking record.
So what's the significance? The mixing board was their MCI which was later sold to King Tubby via Bunny Lee so if you listen to the multi-track mix here you can hear similar sounds to those obtained later by Tubby in the mid-1970s. Unfortunately for Dynamic this style of mixing didn't catch the public mood in 1970 so it was left to Tubby to turn remixing into an art form 3 or 4 years later using the same MCI mixer in his home studio in Waterhouse.
See scan for label condition - nice clean labels which is rare as orange and white Trojan 45's normally have lots of writing on them.
Vinyl is shiny but has lots of fine surface scratches and some light surface scuffs and looks visually a grade VG+ . Plays great as you can hear.
? Please listen to the sound files so you can hear the condition then make your own judgement of the grading so that you will be happy with your record.
Please do not pay until an invoice is sent, as I need to adjust postage to make it a fair charge for both of us. I am happy to combine postage for more than one record.
