This is a very rare Egyptian Arabic recording by the infamous and controversial Abdel Hai Helmi (1857-1912), who was one of the first Arab singers to be issued on 78 rpm disc. He began recording in the mid-1910s for the Zonophone label, and continued recording until his death in 1912. The latest copyright date I could find on this record was 1905, so I assume this is one of his earlier sides issued within a few years of that. All of his records are incredibly rare, and I have two of them up for sale this week. Check out my other auctions for more Abdel Hai Helmi and other early Arabic music artists.

Condition: I am afraid I am not able to play 78 rpm records. Please see photos for condition. Recorded is complete (no cracks, missing pieces, etc.), with wear as to be expected for a record of this age. Please inspect the included photos carefully. **ITEM SOLD “AS-IS”**

Terms (Please read carefully): Payment via Paypal is due within THREE (3) DAYS – no exceptions. Buyer pays shipping. **NON-USA BIDDERS: I will ONLY ship outside of the USA using E-bay’s Global Shipping Program, since this is the only way that the parcel is traceable outside of the USA, which protects seller and bidder from loss. This program includes import fees and taxes which are not set by me, are not negotiable, and can be quite high. Please keep this in mind when you bid.**

US bidders: I am happy to combine items in order to save you money on shipping. Just let me know ahead of time if you are bidding on more than one item and I will send you a new invoice reflecting the correct shipping for all your wins (don’t pay the one sent by E-bay, which will charge the full shipping price for each individual item). Non-USA bidders: My apologies, but according to my recent conversations with E-bay customer service, the Global Shipping Program does not allow for combined shipping on international orders.

Your item(s) will be sent within ten (10) days of receiving cleared payment via Paypal.
