USA PROMO FIRST PRESSING VINYL LP IN EMBOSSED SLEEVE WITH CREDITS INNER SLEEVE
This is the Holy Grail of 'Back in Black' copies - the Robert Ludwig Masterdisk cut as a promo. This is as first-a-first pressing as you will ever find for this album on the Masterdisk pressing. One of the earliest copies pressed from the then-new laquer/mother/stampers. Closer to the source, other than the original tape, you will not get. If you have but ONE copy of this album in your collection, a promo Masterdisk copy is the one to have. They do not turn up often, there was probably only a few hundred or so copies, and some of them would have been played-to-death by radio stations. If you are an AC?DC fan - and let's face it - who isn't? - you need to own one of these, because once you have heard it, you'll be able to recoup some of the cost by selling-off all your other, inferior copies.
So - here it is - The Promo of Promos - up there with promos of Zeppelin's first four albums, Machine Head, Dark Side of the Moon, Hotel California and other classic rock albums. Time to toss away your re-mastered CDs, your re-issued vinyl, your so-so 're-mastered from original tapes' pressings which never really sound 'right'. There is only one truly great pressing of this album, and this is it: The original Robert Ludwig Masterdisk work of aural art. It is the only one that sounds remotely gritty, loud, dirty yet dynamic at the same time. But better yet, this is a copy that left the factory before even the commercial ones were pressed.
As usual, Bob Ludwig painted a masterpiece with this one when he cut it - which he had done so often before with Led Zeppelin and many others - he just knows how to cut vinyl so that the bass is fat, tight and warm, whilst the mid and upper-mids remain spacious and vibrant. The sound stage and dynamics on this pressing are mouth-watering. The wallop contained on the master tape was transfered to these magical grooves as only Ludwig knows how.
So, here it is, AC?DC's all-time classic, in its perfectly mastered format; a promo vinyl LP. It does not get any better than this, and it is yours to own in just a few clicks. This copy has been play-checked on a top-end hi fi and it sounds awesome, breathtaking, and LOUD without any of the shrill CD compression. 'Back in Black' has sold zillions in every conceivable format, but if you want to hear how it really sounds, here's your chance to own an original Robert Ludwig Masterdisk promo pressing. All else is, quite frankly, irrelevant.

DISC: EXCELLENT MINUS. NO SCRATCHES, NO NOTICEABLE SPINDLE WEAR, JUST A FEW LIGHT HAIRLINES. THIS DISC LOOKS PLAYED ONLY A FEW TIMES AT MOST. CLEAN LABELS. WE HAVE PLAY-CHECKED THIS COPY AND IT HAS TRULY AWESOME AUDIO - AND IT IS VERY, VERY LOUD!
