Description
OK - BACK TO LPs OF VARIOUS STYLES FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS - This is a reasonably priced BRAND NEW STILL SEALED LATE 1960s OR VERY EARLY 1970s PRESS STRAIGHT RECORDS U.S. STEREO LP titled 'Pretties For You' from legendary glam rocker Alice Cooper. It is Straight Records U.S. catalog number STS1051, gatefold cover. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE RECENT 180 GRAM REISSUE.
It has been brought to my attention that the Straight Records gatefold album cover with no yellow patch used for this LP was used for a number of years, with a number of different pressings of this LP packaged inside the original Straight Records album cover which bears no mention of Warner Bros. Records; this is the same cover that this LP comes packaged in. Here are the different possible pressings of the 'Pretties For You' records which could possibly be packaged inside this sealed LP:
(1) Orange Straight Records label, US original pressing.
(2) Early 1970s intermediate label design pressing featuring the green WB shield labels with black Straight/WB logos printed on top offset to the right.
(3) Mid-1970s Warner Bros. Burbank trees label.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS LP IS STILL SEALED, AND I HAVE NO WAY TO DETERMINE WHICH OF THE ABOVE PRESSINGS OF 'PRETTIES FOR YOU' MIGHT BE PACKAGED INSIDE THE SEALED COVER, OR IF IT MIGHT EVEN CONTAIN A LABEL VARIATION DIFFERENT FROM THE ABOVE POSSIBILITIES. I MAKE NO GUARANTEES AS TO WHICH PRESSING OF THE 'PRETTIES FOR YOU' RECORD IS INCLUDED HERE, OTHER THAN TO STATE THAT THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT THE RECENT 180-GRAM REISSUE - THIS LP CAME FROM A COLLECTION THAT WAS PURCHASED BY ITS ORIGINAL OWNER DURING THE LATE 1960S THROUGH THE MID 1970S. PLEASE SEE THE ACCOMPANYING IMAGES OF THE FRONT AND BACK COVERS TO SEE THE PRINTING AND CATALOG NUMBER THAT APPEARS ON THIS COVER.
