Description

Hello & thanks for looking. For auction is the HMV 6 LP set ALP 1030 to 1035. Wagner's Tristan & Isolde. Kirsten Flagsted as Isolde - Ludwig Suthaus as Tristan - The philharmonia orchestra conducted by Wilhelm Furtwangler with the chorus of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Recorded in German.

 Condition based on record collector rare record price guide grading system.

ALP 1030: Sleeve = VG – some rubbing and light wear & tear. Vinyl = Side 1 VG – some v light, hairline marks that will not affect sound quality. Nothing feel-able. No ticks or jumps. A few v tiny pressing marks. Side 2 – as side 1.

ALP 1031: Sleeve = as 1030 + v slight denting to top of front flap. Vinyl = Side 3 – As side 1 with 2 slightly more visible mark but again not feel-able. No ticks or jumps. Side 4 as side 1.

ALP 1032: Sleeve = as 1031. Vinyl = Side 5 – as side 1. Side 6 – as side 3.

ALP 1033: Sleeve = as 1031 + 6cm red pen mark (please see photo). Vinyl – sides 7 & 8 as side 1.

ALP 1034: Sleeve = as 1031. Vinyl sides 9 & 10 VG+ - better than side 1 with a pressing mark on run on to side 10.

ALP 1035: Sleeve = as 1031. Vinyl sides 11 & 12 as side 3.

All labels are clean & good. This is a brutally honest description of condition . Generally speaking all vinyl is very playable with very little lessening of sound quality. I will add inner plastic lined sleeves for extra protection.

This set lists at £250 mint in the 2004 Rare Classical Record Price Guide and therefore i think the start price is very reasonable.

Postage: This will be expensive due to the weight. UK 2nd class = £8.00 - UK signed for = £10.00 - For posting outside of UK i will split into 2 packages as it will be cheaper. Europe = £20.00 - Rest of the world = £60.00. This will be sent by Royal Mail not courier but i have to put courier in the listing due to ebay rules re heavy items.
