Description
For sale - from my personal collection - the following LP featuring Scottish jazz clarinetist ARCHIE SEMPLE (1928-1974), titled:
"THE TWILIGHT COMETH"
original 1964 pressing on Columbia Records 33SX 1580, MONO, made in ENGLAND. Original plastic and paper inner sleeve. "Recording first published 1964" printed on back cover. Soft material cover with flipback design.
CONDITION:
- front cover is Exc. (having: both upper corners slightly bumped; bottom right corner slightly bumped; a few light short creases by three corners; one light crease by bottom right corner-edge area)
- back cover is Exc. (having: some overall light yellowing and light discoloration spots alongside edges; upper right corner slightly bumped)
- vinyl is MINT both sides - looks unplayed (visual grading)
- clean label
Featuring Archie Semple (clarinet) with accompaniment by Dave Lee, Martin Slavin and Jack Fallon.
10 tracks, studio recordings. Includes the album's title. Great classic British jazz rendered with class and aplomb. Rare to very rare jazz album, the only copy I've ever seen. A collector's item, highly recommended!
