Description
Up for auction here is "Four For Trane" by Archie Shepp on the Impulse label, catalog #A-71. The mono LP (with VAN GELDER stamped in the dead wax) would be NM, except for a VERY ugly gouge at the beginning of side 1, but it doesn't make a sound. I have uploaded a short video clip of it to youtube for you to see for yourself...just search for "Four For Trane sample". The cover has a few issues...and those are varied enough as to make a traditional grade awkward so I'll describe them to you so you can decide for yourself. There is some laminate flaking and peeling on front along the spine..mainly near the top. That is probably related to all the scratching on the spine which results in a split and torn bit at the top. It's unfortunate for sure, but at least it's the spine and not the front. There is also some light foxing or spotting on the white inside of the gatefold. Please view my other auctions for more great jazz LPs.
Shipping is $4 in the US (or $8 for Priority Mail), $14 to Canada and $24 to the rest of the world. Additional LPs are $1 each in the US, $3 to Canada and $6 each to the rest of the world. I pack records outside of the covers to protect the seams from splitting. They are shipped in dedicated record mailers with padded inserts. I spend a lot of time and money on shipping with care so your record looks as good when it arrives as it did when it left.
