The price this starts at reflects the true significance of this piece, and the lovely 'archive-condition' of this.
Suffice to say, I have seen far more commonly found issues selling for much much more!!
Here is a true archive quality record platter from a Blues stalwart of renown - and I'm not whistlin' Dixie here!
Not for nothing did Elvis Presley choose to start out his recording career with a Arthur Crudup song - a version of which is on this great historic landmark album - as his stylish country-blues shuffles have an ease that lends to having a rocked-up treatment.
Like Clapton to JJ Cale, Elvis made a seriously good performance on what he recognized was an excellent song.
However - this album is consistent in being filled with such quality, and with such a wonderful listen-ability;

Now, here's the great news - this particular copy of an already very rare album, is in unimaginably GREAT shape, both visually, and audibly!! Making this a superb item for the proud and discerning collector.
I hope this goes to the best and most careful home - because there really cannot be many copies in existence in this sort of condition, anywhere in the World. I paid well for this one, knowing that fact.
Plus, as an acoustic blues vocal platter, any crackle could detract from the enjoyment of this sweet music.
So - lovely shape, great clear music, nice tunes and wonderful delivery - top stuff and deserves prominence in a quality vinyl collection.

Please note; there is not a small 'teaser' opening bid price on this item - in this particular case this kind of an item IS an archive piece, of superb quality and rarity. This means it is NOT priced so every low bidder can make up the numbers, only the serious bidder with intent to own and care for a museum-standard disc that this is. Any dealer-shop is going to ask UPWARDS of this bid price, I assure you! This is also my own LP, and with knowledge of its' quality, rarity and condition I happily paid highly for this from a top dealer, and want that it goes to an owner who will care for & appreciate it as I have.
CONDITION;
The VINYL disc grades EX++, a couple of light lines are superficial and NOT deep enough to get in the groove or effect the needle whatsoever.
The sound quality, and surface shine, is NEAR MINT throughout - a WONDERFUL bright-sounding HEAVY VINYL pressing!
FIRE RECORDS obviously did press a decent vinyl album (unlike some other lables like King or Crown, which might have all sorts of lumps and bumps on the surfaces - & sometimes even bits of paper from the labels!).
The lables are NM-, bright and with little signs of any use.
The COVER is solid EX, (and I don't grade "great considering age"etc), with very slight face wear only, and having a small separation of the thin seams at top left corner, and bottom centre. This is amazing, as the seams on these old US Blues records are traditionally cigarette-paper thin, so storage and removal/replacing of the heavy disc is enough to part them in a very short time! Finding such light wear is a REAL bonus!
I strongly doubt you will ever find a better copy than this one!
