Up for auction is a signed Doors album by Jim Morrison himself. My father passed away almost a year ago and now my mother has asked me to sell off some of his items, this being one of his most prized possessions. I remmember the story like it was told to me yesterday. My father kept this record in a closed glass case with his other 60's & 70's autographs and memorbilia. He met Jim at a local bar one night in San Fransico in 68, he ran to his car, grabbed the album and headed inside. And to my father suprise Jim signed it with no hesitation and then bought my father a shot of whisky! The album itself is in mint condition and plays perfectly with no scratches, bumbs, etc. It is original pressing from 1967 eks-74007. Besides the fact that it is autographed by Jim Morrison, the rarity of this original print is scarse. I've taken this to a local autograph store as was offered $150 for it, yet I really didn't want to let this go to a middle man, I prefer it to go to a fan whom will cherish it like my father did. Also in addition to the autograph this is a ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING ORANGE LABEL RECORD meaning that it is extremely rare and a must have for a die hard Doors fan.
