Description
Up for auction is a rare, early hinged record container from most likely the first decade of last century --around 1900 to 1910.
This was used by prior owner to store a collection of E. Berliner Gramophone records and early 1-sided Victor Records that I listed this past week.
Prior owner placed handwritten and typed their collection on interior of lid.
One could store 7" 45s in this as well.
Case has a metal lever that keeps the case closed. There are two top hinges and a handle.
Case shows signs of wear from several years of being stored away and moved around. Stains, spotting, foxing, rippling of outer covering and rust. There is some scrapes and tears along bottom.
The case is still solid and usable.
