Description

This is Bethlehem Records BCP 6027, Art Blakey Big Band, a red, deep groove label original mono issue of this classic record. The record looks in VG condition showing marks on both sides but for the most part, playing quietly with only occasional background noise below the music. However, there is a small skip at the end of Coltrane's solo on Midriff so I don't know what grade to give here. The glossy cover has a bump on the upper right and 1" clear tape on the top of the spine but is otherwise unblemished and intact. The labels are excellent with light spindle marks. The record was played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode and cleaned on a VPI 17. This is still an excellent initial "play" grade copy of this wonderful original issue.
