Art Blakey's legendary Jazz Messengers was a finishing school for great jazz players and this album includes Lee Morgan (tp), Benny Golson (ts), Bobby Timmons (p). A superb set of tunes including the title track, Blues March, and Along Came Betty, all of which became hard bop standards. 5 star album on Allmusic- "ranks with the very best of Blakey and what modern jazz offered in the late '50s and beyond." 47 West 63rd on labels, deep groove. Runouts include the RVG stamp and the Plastilyte 'ear'.

Our Grading System
Please note that we use our own grading system which is more nuanced than the standard system. If there is anything you do not understand then please let us know. All our items have been visually graded beneath a down-facing halogen lamp. We have found that this has proven extremely effective. For higher value items, we give them a further audible play-grading.
