Extra info: KILLER PROG!! Fantastic 2nd Banco del Mutuo Soccorso album from 1972!! Don't miss out on this opportunity!! This hardly sold at all and will appreciate in value in the coming years as it has now been rediscovered and recognized for its sublime musicianship! A proper classic like Genesis' Foxtrot or Yes's Close to the Edge.
IN BEAUTIFUL, JUST LIGHTLY PLAYED CONDITION DELIVERING CLEAN AUDIO THROUGHOUT - FANTASTIC COPY OF THIS WONDERFUL PIECE OF WORK - COMPLETELY OVERLOOKED AT THE TIME RELEASED.
Original first press of the magnificent masterwork, which is easily one of their very best. Formed in 1969 in Rome, Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso featured the dual keyboard attack of twin brothers Vittorio and Gianni Nocenzi, the aggressive guitar of Marcello Todaro, the crystalline operatic vocals of Franceso di Giacomo, and the solid rhythm section of Renato D'Angelo (bass) and Pier Luigi Calderoni (drums). Their debut revealed a band with stellar musicianship, an inclination toward a classical sound with jazzy elements, affinities with the burgeoning European prog rock scene, and yet retention of strong connections with a hard-to-define Italian sound, thanks mostly to singer Di Giacomo. This album, the band's second, is their masterpiece, the proud equal of PFM's Per Un Amico and Le Orme's Felona E Sorona in the Italian progressive hall of fame. Every promise made by Banco's eponymous debut was fully realized.
Vittorio Nocenzi's writing has flourished, as have the dual keyboard tapestry of the brothers Nocenzi, trading off Hammond assaults, delicate, heart-wrenching piano runs and fire-breathing Moog themes, building together in unison to moments of unimaginable climax. Atop this are the always outstanding vocals of Franceso DiGiacomo, who comes crashing in with his operatic, distinctly Italian vocal prowess. Everything that is wonderful about Italian symphonic prog is encapsalated in the 14-minute first track, "L'Evoluzione"; majestic keyboards, sonically charged guitars, Francesco's incredible voice and just enough Italian weirdness. Overall it is a jazzy and often theatrical album, a work of near-equal parts harmony and complexity, and one of the records from the Italian scene that has really stood the test of time. It was mastered in the UK by Ray Staff at Trident, hence the etched credits in the run outs and sounds fantastic. This copy really couldn't be much cleaner overall.
Gatefold Sleeve: EX. Great sleeve with hardly any wear. Perfectly flat without any wear, even the edges are perfect!! A fully 100% legible spine. No creases or writing whatsoever. The opening is super crisp the spine is 100% legible. the inside gatefold is NM. An upgrade for most prog collectors.
Vinyl: EX. Both surfaces retain their original deep, glossy sheen. A SUPERB VINYL COPY WHICH WILL PROVE HARD TO BETTER!!! Indeed, it has only been very lightly! There are NO spindle traces at all!! The whole LP sounds absolutely stunning and plays to an extremely high standard with superb clarity, no groove-wear and no distortion and is very strictly graded a strong EX for audio and visual appearance - great copy!! Just some very light bag rash which does not influence any of the fantastic audio. I have played this on my very revealing setup with a Linn Sondek cartridge and thoroughly enjoyed it. An assured upgrade for all collectors. Of course, NO skips, NO jumps, NO ticks, hardly any static.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
Important : International postage will be registered and insured if over GBP 20.00. Please wait for my invoice before paying. Postage will be according to Royal Mail rates. Postage is NOT a money spinning exercise for me.
Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items, I always try my very best to describe everything exactly! PLEASE REMEMBER to contact me FIRST, if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one! I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem! This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy! Similarly with the amount of stars, anything less than a full 5 * rating is effectively detrimental to a seller's rating as lower ratings will incur higher Final Value Fees and lower priority in the bidlists eventually making it unattractive to list items on Ebay at all. I know of at least one major previous Ebay seller who has decided not to list via Ebay again. Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem. Thanks again!!
This an excellent investment opportunity!!! Any questions please ask me and I will try to answer soon.
