On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Battered Ornaments called "Mantlepiece" and is an ORIGINAL 1969 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Harvest label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPs ON THE HARVEST LABEL - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1969 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION OVERALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1969 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS HARVEST LABEL, 1ST PRESS NO 'EMI BOX' ON THE LABELS (LATER ONES DO!), 1ST PRESS 'GRAMOPHONE COMPANY' LABEL EDGE TEXT, 1ST PRESS 'PATENT APPLIED FOR' INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'E.J.DAY' GATEFOLD LAMINATED COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Harvest UK Pressing from 1969 and is in GREAT condition overall!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is SHVL 758 on the ORIGINAL Harvest label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos!)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few VERY light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is in GREAT condition overall!!!!  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 3 or 4 VERY light hairlines, only 3 or 4 MEGA light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, barely ANY clicks, NO sticking, NO jumps, only a few VERY brief surface souds at the VERY beginning of 1 side ONLY (though these quickly fade away after the first few revolutions of the opening track), and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  This record is a bit uneven though, so I did test it on 2 different systems and BOTH played this record EASILY with NO problems AT ALL!!!!  The record must grade Very Good+ if not better!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Patent Applied For' inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The 1st Press 'E.J.Day' Gatefold Laminated Cover is in GREAT condition overall!!!!  It has NO edge wear (apart from some virtually INVISIBLE 'touching in' to the top front edge ONLY, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear AT ALL (NOT through the colour!), only a few VERY light creases, VERY shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the unlaminated inside of the cover is in GREAT condition overall with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, NO ringwear, NO rubbing (apart from a slight amount to the left bottom right inner gatefold), a small area of wear/uneveness on the EXTREME left hand side, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must MEGA STRICTLY grade Good++++ (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - though the outside of the cover is WAY better than this - and there is NO splits either!!!!  THIS LP MAY NOT BE 100% PERFECT - BUT IT IS UNDOUBTEDLY ONE OF THE RAREST LPs ON THE HARVEST LABEL, AND LETS FACE IT - WHEN WILL YOU SEE ANOTHER ONE!!!!  LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
