Mega Rare 1964MID-SIZED STEREO Cover!

This auction isfor an extremely rare original 1963 STEREO pressing of the BeatlesParlophone debut LP 'Please Please Me' on the yellow / black label.

When this albumfirst came out in 1963 the vast majority of copies that sold were inmono. If you wanted a stereo copy you’d have to order it inespecially, they were more expensive than mono and stereophonicrecord players cost a small fortune. It wasn’t until 1967/1968 thatstereo became much more affordable. Because of this, original Beatlesrecords in stereo are highly collectible and incredibly hard to find!

Not only this, butthis features the extremely rare transitional ‘mid sized’ stereologo cover, which appeared for just a very short time in early ‘64– a time where fans were buying up Hard Days Night and Beatles ForSale. These mid-sized transition sleeves were only around for a veryshort while and, today, are incredibly hard to find!

Cover Condition: VG+

The cover is holdingup fine with no splits or tears. The front is colourful with somelight creases in the laminate and some rounding of the corners. Topand bottom seam are holding tight with no splits and the spine iscomplete and fully legible. The back is slightly discoloured –moreso around the mouth edge but there’s no real damage or anythingto it.

Record Condition: VG

A fair amount oflight scuffs and marks, but nothing deep or serious looking. Wouldprobably play with light crackle.

Label Condition: VG

Labels look a littleworn but have no damage to them. Have some light spindlewear and somewhitening around the centerhole.

MyVinyl Grading:

MINT- No true preowned disc can be mint. The highest I will ever grade adisc is NM+/M- if it looks untouched and unplayed, but the MINTdescription will only be for records I personally know have neverbeen played (i.e. I personally bought from new) or for copies thatare still sealed.

NEARMINT (NM) - For discs that look near flawless and which may have justthe slightest, barely visible little whispy marks here and there.

EXCELLENT(EX) - For discs that still retain a brilliant, clean shine but doeshave some light scuffs here and there.

VERYGOOD (VG) - For discs that still look clean and have a nice shine tothem, but do have a fair amount of light scuffmarks and/or some lightscratches.

GOOD(G) - For discs that look like they have been loved and have a fairamount of scuffs and surface scratches. Not in terrible condition,but would look like it would play with a lot of crackle.

FAIR(F) - For discs that may have some life left in them but are prettytrashed with numerous surface scuffs and heavier scuffs and scratchesetc

POOR(P) - For discs that are unplayable and look completely trashed.Discs like this would only ever be offered if they were insanelyrare.
