Description
The Beatles - 'Revolver'. PCS 7009
The Beatles 1966 UK 1st STEREO pressing of the 'Revolver' LP. Released on the 5th August 1966, this is often regarded as the Beatles at their very most creative both lyrically and musically.
This copy is in quite remarkable condition. With all elements grading at EXCELLENT condition. Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label, both labels have the 'Sold in the UK....' statement and 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd' rim print. The 'KT' tax code is embossed on the side two label. The inner sleeve is the correct and original 'MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN' issue which all UK 1st pressings came housed in. The outer sleeve produced by 'Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd.' is one of the finest examples of this rare stereo sleeve I have ever seen.
This is the pressing with DOCTOR ROBERT on the label and DR. ROBERT on the sleeve.
The vinyl has the earliest possible matrix numbers for this LP:
Side 1: YEX 605-1 2 RD
Side 2: YEX 606-1 2 GO
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT-/EXCELLENT condition. Both sides play through perfectly with only light crackle in places.
All labels are in EXCELLENT condition. Near perfect with light spindle trails.
The front laminate sleeve is in EXCELLENT+ condition. Shiny, no laminate lifts and spine intact. A marvelous cover.
The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
